about

Consciousness is not an individual reality produced by the brain, nor an illusion, nor hallucination. Rather, consciousness is a physical phenomenon. It is all around us, penetrating all physical objects and space. Similar to how a magnetic field mediates electric charges, some kind of criminally under-studied field in space mediates consciousness. Just as certain metals contain the elements necessary to manipulate magnetic fields, our brains contain the elements necessary to sense, process, return, and manipulate consciousness. Our bodies use this consciousness substance as “fuel” to transform our subconscious operations into conscious thoughts. Without it, we are mindless beings operating without awareness.

Our brains decide how to use consciousness. It will delegate its allocated amount of consciousness (as much as it possibly can hold) to different tasks. Some tasks are fine or better without consciousness, like breathing. That’s why when you start thinking about breathing you stop - because the task has been lifted from your subconscious mind (the operations of the mind that do not require awareness) to the conscious mind (those that do). In the case of breathing, it’s not difficult for consciousness to facilitate, but it’s an impractical long-term solution. Other tasks, more complicated tasks that stretch beyond survival instinct, are conscious thoughts formed out of subconscious ideas, with consciousness material (being used by the brain) acting as the bridge between the two.

There are things that exist much more complicated by our human standards and out of our typical abilities, given the materials we are made of and their properties. Things such as telepathy, clairvoyance, and spirit interaction. These things are not impossible, they are merely poorly understood. Their nature is still very foreign to us. Could our lack of abilities be halting our understanding, or is our lack of understanding halting our abilities? Perhaps some of both?

Given the number of creatures on Earth, the differing stages of their evolution, and the age of the universe, I find it certain there are beings in the universe who can manipulate or use consciousness much more directly and more powerfully than humans can. If a mere 1% of our brain's material is capable of interacting with consciousness material, what is to say of beings with brains composed of 50% or almost entirely of such material? Where else could this material exist? What other materials have similar properties?

Perhaps there are beings made of many of the same/compatible materials as consciousness itself is, therefore they are able to work with it much more naturally than we can. The nature of consciousness is much more clear to them, as the nature of the physical world is familiar to us. Maybe some beings can take in more consciousness at a time than we. Maybe some can actually see it in action like we would see smoke rising from a fire. As we have the means to manipulate the motion, temperature, and other properties of the air, entities made with compatible elements have the means to manipulate different aspects of the facilitation of consciousness. Some of these means are known of but misunderstood, many are experienced and fablized, most all of it is ultimately unknown to us.

Physical reality is where we spend the majority of our energy. The waking world. We tend to think of our thoughts as separate. If we accept consciousness as an all encompassing physical phenomenon, then our thoughts and our physical realities are one in the same. They occupy the same space and are composed of similar materials that not only coexist but in many instances work together, or even against each other.

Man is merely an animated sack of meat with the privilege of picking up on small amounts of consciousness. We process it as best we can through our meat ball heads and spit it back out into the universe in a multitude of ways - language, action, intention, etc. Although because our nature is a sack of meat, our realities are limited to whatever consciousness we are processing at that given moment. We can hold onto parts of the past, and we can project predictions of the future, but those aspects of the mind, like imagination, remain dormant until called upon.

Due to our limited form and its imperfections, we can only handle being aware/processing consciousness (what we call “life”) for so long and under very particular conditions. Perhaps our bodies lack the necessary strength. Perhaps the conditions for conscious awareness are very strict. Perhaps like a fish on land, we’re just not suited to deal with consciousness all that much, and we’re lucky we got what we got. Perhaps we can do more. Perhaps I was just born too soon in human history. Or too late.

If consciousness is a free-flowing physical phenomenon, then death as we know it is a mirage. The end of life as we know it may really only be the end of awareness as we know it. While our physical awareness may cease, the forces that which made us who we are live on.

Life is forever and one. Awareness is temporary and individual.
